Veterans Memorial High School’s National Honors Society (NHS) is calling on students to step up and apply for membership, as the organization looks to expand its roster of dedicated, high- achieving individuals. Led by NHS advisor Mr.Rundell, the organization is known for its commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and character- qualities that embody the best of VMHS students.
The organization participates in numerous service initiatives, including tutoring programs, charity drives, and school-wide events that benefit the local community. As a nationally recognized program, NHS membership also serves as a valuable addition to college applications, demonstrating a student’s dedication to academic success and community involvement.
The organization is currently seeking new applicants and encourages students who meet the eligibility criteria to consider joining. Membership in the NHS is not only an honor but also a valuable experience that can provide lifelong leadership skills. Students involved in NHS have the chance to collaborate with like-minded peers, take on leadership roles, and contribute to meaningful service projects that benefit both the school and the local community.
Several dedicated students, including Skye Hall, Yohan Jang, Blake Cardenas, and Makayla Garcia, are helping to spread the word about the benefits of joining the NHS. Their efforts aim to ensure that more students take advantage of this opportunity to be a part of an organization that values academic achievement and community involvement.
The application process emphasizes leadership, character, and a willingness to serve others. Students interested in applying should reach out to Mr.Rundell for more details on eligibility and application requirements.
With the deadline approaching, now is the time for students to step forward and take advantage of the opportunity. NHS is more than just an organization- it’s a chance to grow, lead, and make a lasting difference.
For more information, visit Mr.Rundell’s classroom in room (C317) or check the school’s website for updates on the application process.
