Patriots look on the bright side after a loss

The season of Veterans Memorial JV football is soon to wrap up after a long, hard and eventful string of games.The team played against Boerne at their last game on Thursday, Oct. 24, with the team coming up short with a score of 26-35. JV Patriots worked effortlessly hard, playing only 8 games total, with 5 wins and 3 losses. 

 

“I’m a little upset with the season coming to an end but overall I’m really proud of our team and how this season has gone. With these last few games we are definitely going to go out working hard,” Issiah Deleon, sophomore JV player explains . 

 

Though the season had its ups and downs, patriots still continue to strive and show their hard work, aspiring to bring home a win as the 2024-2025 season closes.

 

 “I think our kids have worked hard this year and that has shown on the field. They’ve given good effort and they’ve learned and developed throughout the season,” said Coach Sean Baldwin, who was on the sideline throughout the game, “even in our losses and all of our games, we’ve been very competitive and won a lot. ”

 

The season doesn’t have many games left, with only three remaining for students to attend and show their pride, supporting everything the team has been working towards this season .
