The 2024 Patriot football season has been an emotional rollercoaster, capturing moments of excitement and disappointment. The team started off the season with back to back losses, opposed from what they are used to.
“As a team, this season has been different because we usually start off strong, ” expressed Senior, receiver, Ben Toney. Although this was not ideal for the team, they have been able to pull through, since then they have captured a refreshing victory against Macarthur and are still confident in making the playoffs.
Inside the mind of the patriot football team are players who have a different point of views from what everyone else might see.
“To everyone else the season might seem like it’s down, but to me it’s just progressive as we’ve worked very hard during practice and during the season to turn it around. I see nothing but great things for us,” stated Toney.
Since the start of the season the team is now 2-3 with growing self expectations.
“Coming into each game I see it as being 0-0 and treating each game like a championship game,” said Senior, corner back, Isaiah Francis. The high spirits on the team are carrying through, regardless of the hardships faced. The team is looking forward to responding strongly away at Kerrville Tivy for their 6th game of the season October 11.
